Archbishop Timothy Dolan has been named Cardinal by the Vatican. He was among 22 new cardinals named by Pope Benedict XVI today, and will be elevated in a ceremony on February 18. Archbishop Dolan has led the Archdiocese of New York for the past 2 ½ years following several years as Archbishop of Milwaukee. He also served as the Spiritual Director of Catholic Financial Life‘s Board and continues his affiliation with the Society as our Spiritual Director Emeritus.
We congratulate Archbishop Dolan, and on behalf of the Society, I will pass along our best wishes to Cardinal Elect Dolan.
